Accessibility
Euler100 is built to be used by a child of thirteen or younger, a parent on a phone and a teacher with a screen reader. The build is held to WCAG 2.2 at level AA.
What the build holds itself to
- Every page has one main landmark, one first heading, and a name on every button, link and form field. A test checks this on every page of the site at every build.
- Every destination is an icon with its word beside it; an icon never stands alone. The current page is marked for a screen reader as well as in red.
- Tap targets are at least 24 px and the house target is 44 px. Nothing opens on hover alone; the small i buttons open on a tap, a click or Enter and close on Escape, a tap outside or when focus leaves.
- The pages work at 375 px, in a dark colour scheme and with reduced motion. Text is set in self-hosted fonts and the colours are checked for contrast.
- Consent, safety and the line A computer program, not a person are always written out in full, never behind a disclosure.
Something in the way?
Write to euler100@euler.swiss or use the Contact page. A person reads every message, and a defect that stops someone using the site is fixed before anything else.
